Falafel with chickpeas! We’re kind of crazy about falafel over here, and always looking for more ways to enjoy it. The best part is, these are baked, not fried, cutting down on the fat from traditional falafel.

Ingredients

Chickpeas
1 can (15 oz)
Garlic
1 clove
Parsley, chopped
1/2 cup
Cumin
1 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Cayenne pepper (optional)
1 pinch
Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Tahini
1/4 cup
Water
1 tablespoon

Preheat oven to 375 °F.

Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

Add all ingredients to food processor except baking soda, pulse until thoroughly mixed.

Add the baking powder and continue to pulse until well combined.

Roll falafel into approximately 20 even sized balls, then press into patty shape.

Bake for 15 minutes then flip over and bake for 15 more minutes.
